Design: Willy Johansson (1958)

Tangen is Norwegian tradition at its best, and is indeed a classic on the dinner table. The series has a unique position among Norwegian consumers, and has been a best-seller since 1958. The design is based on Nøstetangen’s goblet tradition, modelled on the glass ”Danziger Kelchen” in Weÿse’s catalogue from 1763. The series has received the Classic Award for Design Excellence from the Norwegian Design Council.
